Match Fragrances Reviews 2023 – Must Know Before Buying

Before comparing the match fragrances with the originals, let’s first check if it can stand out among its competitors producing dupes.

So, the question is- was it able to make an impact? – No.

The perfume company Match Fragrances sells perfume or cologne replicas. The business makes perfumes and aftershaves that smell luxurious and pricey but don’t come with a hefty price tag.

The UK is where this company is headquartered. Match Fragrances is one of many companies attempting to be a perfume clone as a business strategy. It’s standard practice to produce inexpensive replicas of premium scents.

The fact that there are superior clones available shows that this isn’t a unique brand as far as clones go. The problem isn’t that the company doesn’t have an excellent selection or that it doesn’t attempt; of course, it does. Instead, it’s possible to reproduce high-street scents accurately.

The Best of Match Fragrances

What are the best perfume dupes that Match Fragrances produces?

DS, 540, and Lost Cherry are some of the products we liked from Match Fragrances in this review. That said, none of them made our top list, including the best Baccarat rouge 540 dupe list.

Aventus and Spicebomb are two dupes that didn’t meet the cut. There are better Aventus Creed dupes in the market, in our experience.

For better-quality knockoffs than those created by Match Fragrances, we typically suggest CopyCat or Essence Vault.

CopyCat has a superior selection for males, whereas Essence Vault is better for ladies.

Match Fragrances Review Criteria

Here are a few important things we consider when reviewing dupe brands:

  • Is the brand affordable in the first place?
  • What’s your return on investment?
  • What level of efficacy do the available perfumes have?
  • How closely do they resemble the original product that they are replicating?

Thus, it’s crucial to consider objective criteria while ranking or reviewing a website for clone fragrances.

When it comes to this, Match Fragrances does “okay.” At least it is worth the money spent. For a large bottle, you end up paying around £35. Thus, this company is OK for when you are first starting your perfume collection, but there are better options out there.

That’s not terrible, but it does add up when you consider the enormous price increase that occurs each time you switch sizes. It’s crucial to keep in mind our situation when talking about authenticity. Even a genuine fragrance clone brand cannot entirely imitate the precise components and aroma of a top-tier perfume.

Some scents under the brand are lacking. This happened to their Lost Cherry dupe.

This is an excellent illustration of how making something 99% accurate only sometimes works. There are a lot of alternatives in the line-up that pale in comparison to the scents they are attempting to imitate.

Are Match Fragrances Legal?

Yes, it is acceptable for you to own a knockoff perfume. However, there may be some problems if the brand names use brand names protected by trademarks.

What Do Parfum Notes Mean?

We shall use the top terms notes, heart notes, and base notes when discussing scents. In essence, this is the arrangement of the scents inside the bottle. As a result, the top notes will be noticed first, then the heart notes, and finally, the base notes will start to appear.
It’s crucial to note this distinction because it contributes to the complexity of perfumes. A single fragrance has a variety of fragrances rather than simply one.

Men’s Fragrance Dupe Examples

Bleu De Chanel Inspired

Citrus top notes are what get your attention to this one right away. The key feature is the woody nature of the base and heart notes.

Since ginger, jasmine, and cedarwood are present in the heart notes, the base notes are much more flowery. In comparison, the base tones are significantly sweeter. There are substances like sandalwood and frankincense.

This copy doesn’t do justice to the real one.

Spicebomb

Notice how strongly lemony the top notes are.

There is pink pepper, black pepper, and grapefruit. Herbal and somewhat spicy aromas make up the heart notes. There are things like lavender, rosemary, and cinnamon.

The base notes are also quite woodsy.

It’s not a terrible reproduction by any means, but there are a lot of other, better possibilities. They said it lacks some of the original’s charisma.

Black Orchid

The top notes are sweet and flowery with ingredients like truffle and blackcurrant.

Orchid and lotus are among the fruitier floral ingredients in the heart notes, and dark chocolate, vanilla, and sandalwood are among the gourmand woody base notes. They resemble the original very closely.

The black orchid knockoff is initially overpowering, but it becomes more in line with our expectations after a few minutes. The issue is that the woody notes begin to dissipate too quickly.

Match Fragrances Orchid dupe is not a perfume that lasts as long as the original.

Invictus

It’s supposed to be a charismatic and daring decision, but it’s not that wonderful.

Starting with the top notes, you have a unique maritime option. There are two instances listed: pink grapefruit and ruby mandarin. Spicy wood dominates the heart tones. One that is particularly significant is cinnamon.

The base tones are also fairly musky to finish.

Women’s Fragrance Dupe Examples

Black Opium

The top notes, which include lemon and black pepper, are significantly hotter. Jasmine and orange blossom-like floral notes make up the hot notes. Last but not least, the base notes, including sandalwood and white musk, are intensely woody—this kind of falls short of expectations as a presentation.

The official product positions itself as smelling something like coffee. The final product resembles Earl Grey tea more, though.

Alien

Flowery scents make up the top notes. You have jasmine samba and rose.

Sadly, it then loses some of its floral smell. Very woodsy tones with a tinge of the sun make up the heart notes. The base notes, which are more sweet than floral, come last. It is a sensual and floral scent.

It works alright, but it isn’t a replica.

J’adore

The first notes are zesty and delicious. You can get fragrances like Bergamot, Melon, Pear, and Peach. Following that, the heart notes are flowery, including Violet and Lily of the Valley. Sandalwood and cedarwood are examples of base notes located at the bottom. The full aroma is reminiscent of a fruit tree in a field. That smell isn’t horrible, but it’s too unusual for most people to like.

You can find good J’adore replicas in Lidl.

Coco Mademoiselle

Whatever it may be, the output is quite audacious and captivating on its own. It tries to hit the same notes as its inspiration but lacks the same refinement. It has zesty top notes of orange and bergamot, flowery core notes of jasmine and rose, and woody base notes of vetiver and patchouli.

Match Fragrances versus CopyCat Fragrances

There isn’t much competition here.

Perfume dupes are a skill the CopyCat excels at. If you ever asked if perfume dupes are worth it, Copycat fragrances are proof that yes they are.

The general quality is considerably higher and more genuine. The replicas smell very similar to the original things they are imitating. Additionally, there is a vast range of well-known tributes available.

Copycat fragrances also have some of the best Tom Ford Tobacco Vanilla clones, as well as an excellent selection of men’s colognes.

Essence Vault against Match Fragrances

Although Match Fragrances lost again, it wasn’t quite as embarrassing this time. Apart from Lost Cherry and Black Orchid, the essence vault is superior for all women alternatives.

Said, Match Fragrances falls way short. Sometimes, they even leave an alcoholic scent in you, a sign of a lower quality perfume.

The challenge with making clone perfumes is that you have to either develop an exact reproduction of the original product or something influenced by the real thing but has enough of a distinctive twist to stand on.

For women’s selections, where CopyCat’s selection is a bit more constrained, The Essence Vault also serves as a superior option to Match.

Conclusion – Match Fragrances Review, Skip and Buy from Essence Vault Instead

Unfortunately, when we did this Match Fragrances review, we ended up very disappointed.

Even though, they do offer a good range of cheap perfumes, they do not compare very well to the real deal, nor to some of the best perfume dupes. The main issues are the lack of strength in the fragrances and how little the scent lasts. You will find that within 15 minutes 90% of the odour is gone!

That’s why we prefer to buy from CopyCat fragrances. They are better at replicating the scent and they actually last as long as the originals
