While the cheap perfumes Aldi offers can be a great option for those who don’t want to spend half their pay on a fragrance, there are certain limitations worth considering:

Most of the issues with Aldi perfume clones are around 2 main points.

1. It can be hard to find the perfume you need. Because Aldi is not solely a perfume manufacturer, this is not their top priority. As such, you will not find all the Aldi dupes in their retail stores, and even online you might struggle finding your pick.
2. The initial quality of the fragrances is OK, but they do not last as long as the original perfumes, and often don’t project equally (they have less power).

The last point often makes you spray more and more often, which means that the 100ml will last you a lot less than with other dupe manufacturers or the original designer perfumes.

Without a doubt Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille is one of the most head-turning fragrances in the market. The original costs £400/bottle, and it’s worth every penny of it.

Aldi’s Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille dupe is certainly quite good, and it’s able to capture the essence of the original aroma.

That said, it doesn’t project as well as we would have hoped for, and the fragrance fades away in about 4h. We had to spray more than with other Tom Ford dupes, so this aspect is certainly a disappointment.

When compared to our #1 Tobacco Vanille Dupe, Aldi’s is slightly cheaper, but it lacks the strength and the punch. We had more compliments when wearing TV by Copycat, and no one was able to distinguish it from the designer fragrance.

Alternatively, we recommend Lidl’s J’adore dupe or Inspired by J’Adore by Copycat. The latter is found in many of the cabinets of my female family members (wife included), and it’s a favorite of our female staff.

Because of how light and easy to wear J’Adore by Dior is, it makes it perfect to wear it during the day without bothering others or feeling too overwhelming.

Unfortunately, the selection of Aldi perfume dupes for men is not as extensive as the one for women.

That said, there are still a few excellent choices.

Aldi are not wrong in stating that Creed Aventus is a confidence-inspiring perfume. Studies have proved that wearing the right scent can boost your mood and see how you are perceived by others.

Aventus Creed for men is one of those perfumes that highlights your manliness and helps you gain over others.

Aldi’s Creed dupe is fairly good, and it only costs £7/100ml bottle. Hard to argue for the value proposition there.

However, when we used it we had to spray considerably more than the designer fragrance, and the 100ml disappeared quicker than we would’ve liked. The projection, like it’s the case with many dupes, wasn’t as strong, and Lacura His Reign lacks a little bit of punch.

For a slightly more expensive Creed Aventus dupe, we recommend Copycat Inspired by Creed or The Essence Vault “Inspired by Aventus Intense”.

We rarely find it in stock, but when we do it’s a great EDT that can be used daily. This is in contrast to other EDPs that have a stronger, heavier scent and are better to use on special occasions.

Because Lacura Ferocious is an Eau de Toilette, it won’t last as long as the original, sadly. EDTs tend to last 2h-6h, and in our experience, Ferocious was in the lower end.

For an Eau de Parfum that will last as long as Dior Sauvage, we recommend DS. DS is an excellent Dior Sauvage dupe that has great projection and fidelity.

If your are looking to make your presence noted, and get compliments One Million Lucky by Paco Rabanne is an excellent choice.

Aldi’s dupe to Paco Rabanne’s fantastic fragrance is surprisingly good, when you can find it in the stores.

Once again, it’s an EDT, which means that it won’t last long. But for the price, there’s little to argue. You will have to spray on you more often, so you might want to have it on you if you are on a long date out.

For that reason, The Essence Vault’s 189 Inspired by One Million is our preferred choice. When I wear it, I get a lot of compliments from both men and women. I prefer to use it on special occasions to make an impact.

Aldi Perfume Dupes that Are Off the Shelf

As mentioned previously, some of the Aldi perfume replicas are not longer available.

There were a few great ones like Lacura Her Reign for women, Lacura Dark Blossom, Hotel Collection N3, Lacura E1 exclusive, Lacura Je Suis Belle, Hotel Collection N1 and Hotel Collection N14.

Hotel Collection N1 for instance is a great Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin dupe. Other good Jo Malone dupes are Hotel Collection No. 3, No. 14 and No. 33.

Some of these do rarely appear in stock on their website, but they quickly sell out.

Conclusion – Best Aldi Perfume Dupes, Are They Worth It?

Without a doubt we can say that the best Aldi perfume dupes are worth it if you can get a hand of them.

For less than £10 you will get 100ml of your favorite perfume clones. Among the stand-outs, there were Dior Sauvage Clones, Chanel dupes, Tom Ford replicas and many more.

That said, we encounter 3 major problems when buying Aldi perfume dupes:

• Many of them are EDTs (don’t last as long), and even the EDPs didn’t last as long as the originals
• The projection of Aldi colognes was lacking. They don’t have the aromatic strength the best perfume dupes have.
• Lastly, and most importantly, it’s hard to find them. They are often out of stock online, and in the stores it’s a little bit of a roulette.

These issues put us off from buying Aldi perfume dupes, and we rather spend a little bit more money (£25) to buy longer-lasting, stronger, better dupes from online manufacturers like Copycat.

They tend to have an extensive catalog, including 540 Baccarat Rouge dupes that we didn’t find in Aldi, available at all times. Plus, you can get a sample for less than £5!
